Making the Most of It: Your Life and Each Day
About the Session
Are you making the most out of each day? How about your life? In this session, we will explore how to figure out work that is meaningful to you. We’ll look at ways to maximize your time and energy so you can focus on what is important. Lastly, we will see how we can take action steps to ensure that we wake up ready to face each new day fabulous and focused!
About the Facilitator
Shannon Anderson is an award-winning children’s book author, TEDx speaker, and national presenter. She loves to share the power of growth mindset thinking and to coach kids and adults on the path to their dreams. Shannon taught for 25 years from first grade through college level, where she wore the hats of literacy coach, gifted coordinator, and adjunct professor. Learning Objectives
- Participants will explore their life purpose through the lens of IKIGAI.
- Participants will learn how our brains help us learn through neuroplasticity and the reticular activating system.
- Participants will learn how to maximize their time and energy through specific planning tips.
Experiential Activities
- We will complete an exercise with sticky notes to determine our IKIGAI.
- We will do a neuroplasticity exercise to demonstrate how neural pathways are built.
- We will write goals and action steps for something we want to accomplish.
- We will do time audits to maximize our use of each day.
